3.6 Creating and Managing Driver Groups

Last updated May 14, 2026
Applies to: Enterprise

Driver Groups let Enterprise accounts organize drivers by terminal, region, division, or any other criteria. Groups work together with Manager seats to control which managers can see which drivers.

Creating a group

  1. Navigate to Fleet → Groups.
  2. Click + New Group.
  3. Enter a name for the group (e.g. "Northeast Terminal") and an optional description.
  4. Click Save.

Assigning drivers to groups

Single driver

  1. Go to Fleet → Drivers.
  2. Click the menu on the driver's row and select Edit.
  3. In the Group dropdown, select the group.
  4. Click Save.

Bulk assignment

  1. Check the checkboxes next to multiple drivers.
  2. In the bulk action bar, use the Assign to group dropdown to select a group.
  3. To remove drivers from their current group, click the Ungroup button instead.

How groups affect visibility

  • Drivers that are not assigned to any group (ungrouped) are visible to all managers.
  • Drivers that are in a group are only visible to managers who have been assigned that group.
  • The account owner always sees all drivers regardless of group assignments.

Editing and deleting groups

On the Fleet → Groups page, click any group to edit its name or description. To delete a group, click the Delete button — drivers in that group will become ungrouped (they are not removed from the fleet).
